The Pathology Center Adds Value

Access Laboratory Data with e-Pathlink

Starting in early 2004, ordering tests and obtaining results for your patients was made easier for client hospitals and physician offices that meet specific requirements with the implementation of e-PathLink. e-PathLink allows you to order tests and access your laboratory data from any computer that has an Internet connection.

For more information about e-PathLink and how it can help your hospital or physician office, call (402) 354-4541 or (888) 432-8980 or email pathologycs@nmhs.org

The Pathology Center Difference

Client hospitals of The Pathology Center have access to:
  • Consultant pathologists to work with your medical staff.
  • A laboratory director to oversee your laboratory staff.
  • An immunohematology technical supervisor to oversee your blood bank.
  • A laboratory consultant to work with your laboratory staff to improve quality and resolve technical problems.
  • A reference laboratory for your off-site testing needs.

Client physician offices of The Pathology Center have access to:
  • Reference testing for your off-site needs.
  • A laboratory consultant to work with your laboratory staff to improve quality, resolve technical problems and meet all CLIA requirements.

How Reference Testing Works

Once the sample is collected, it is transported to The Pathology Center by our network of couriers. The laboratory specimen processing staff are specially trained in specimen handling and utilize our enterprise-wide computer system to log and track each specimen. If you have ever experienced a lost specimen, you know how important it is to ensure that your patients' specimens are properly handled.

After the specimen arrives, our system of enterprise-wide computers are utilized to interface with highly automated laboratory testing equipment to automatically determine the tests to be performed and to provide an added degree of confidence and reliability in the testing process.

Once the testing is complete we offer multiple options for results reporting including fax, mail and courier delivered reports.
