Thomas Williams, M.D.
Thomas Williams, MD
Medical Director
The Pathology Center
Dr. Williams holds subspecialty board certification in Chemical Pathology, and also directs the Chemistry Sections at Methodist and Children's Hospitals' laboratories. He is a member of the CDC Clinical Laboratory Advisory Committee (CLIAC), College of American Pathologists (CAP) Education Committee, and council on Membership and Professional Development, Chair of the CAP Publications Committee, and Advisor to the CLSI Area Committee on Chemistry and Toxicology. His current professional activities include disaster and terrorism preparedness activities and education locally and nationally.
Andrew Rasmussen, M.D.
Andrew Rasmussen, MD
Dr. Rasmussen Serves as Medical Director for the Outreach Services program at The Pathology Center and is Laboratory Director at several rural hospitals.
Deborah Perry, M.D.
Deborah Perry, MD
Medical Director
Children's Hospital Pathology
Dr. Perry holds subspecialty board certification in Hematopathology (blood, bone marrow and lymph node disorders) and Pediatric Pathology. She is director of the Children’s Hospital Department of Pathology and is one of the medical directors of the Core Laboratory at Methodist Hospital. She serves on the College of American Pathologists Hematology Resource Committee.
Alan Torell, M.D.

Director of Anatomic Pathology
Dr. Torell joined The Pathology Center following a surgical pathology fellowship with Barnes Hospital, Washington University, in St. Louis, Missouri. His principal interests are in surgical pathology (general and gastrointestinal) and hematopathology. He is Medical Director of Anatomic Pathology.
Dr. Hans
Dr. Christine Hans
Dr. Hans joined the Pathology Center in 2008. She completed anatomic and clinical pathology residency at the University of Michigan, fellowship training in hematopathology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, and fellowship training in dermatopathology at Indiana University. She has subspecialty board certification in dermatopathology and hematopathology. Dermatopathology is her special focus of interest.

Dr. Shane Kohl
Dr. Kohl joined the Pathology Center in 2008. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. After finishing his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he completed a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Washington, in Seattle, Washington. His main area of focus is surgical pathology.
Diana Nevins, M.D.
Diana Nevins, MD
Dr. Nevins did her pathology residency at Pennsylvania State University Milton Hershey Medical Center, in Hershey, Pennsylvania, and is subspecialty certified in Cytopathology, having completed fellowship training at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. She is the medical director of the cytopathology laboratory.
Smith, M.D.
Gregory Smith, MD
Dr. Smith is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, completed his residency in Kansas City, and then did a surgical pathology fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic. After working three years at a regional reference laboratory in Kansas City, he joined The Pathology Center in 2004. His interests include Breast, Prostate, and Head and Neck pathology, as well as cytopathology. He is also a member of the College of American Pathologists and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.
Herbek, M.D.
Gene Herbek, MD
Dr. Herbek joined The Pathology Center in 2005. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and has 25 years of practice experience in surgical and clinical pathology. Dr. Herbek is Medical Director of Transfusion Services at Methodist Hospital and also director of the coagulation section of Methodist Pathology. Areas of expertise in laboratory medicine and pathology include surgical pathology, cytopathology, hematopathology and coagulation. Other interests include medical ethics, practice management and risk management. He is active in the College of American Pathologists where he is current Secretary-Treasurer. Membership in other organizations includes the Nebraska Medical Association, Nebraska Association of Pathologists, Iowa Association of Pathologists, American Medical Association and the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology.

John Gentry, MD
Dr. Gentry joined The Pathology Center in 2007. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. After finishing his residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, he completed a fellowship in surgical pathology at the Mayo Clinic. His area of focus is surgical pathology with a special interest in pulmonary pathology.
Berdrnick, M.D.
Jiri Bedrnicek, MD
Dr. Bedrnicek joined the Pathology Center in 2009. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. After finishing his residency at the University of Arizona, he completed a pediatric and perinatal pathology fellowship at the Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. His interests in surgical pathology include pediatric tumors, placentas and GYN pathology.
Berdrnick, M.D.
Tess Karre, MD
Dr. Karre is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and has subspecialty board certification in Medical Microbiology. She completed her pathology residency at Penrose-St. Francis in Colorado Springs and fellowship training in Medical Microbiology at the Mayo Clinic. After working in Denver for two years, she joined The Pathology Center in 2011.

Same-day laboratory testing, 24 hours per day.
